20 october 2026
On October 16, the 31st Caspian Construction Week concluded its operations at the Baku Expo Center—one of the region’s leading industry platforms for the construction sector. The organizers of the event were Iteca Caspian, Caspian Event Organisers, and their international partners—ICA Events and Caspian Event Management FZ-LLC.
As part of the Week, several events took place at a single venue: "BakuBuild" — the 31st Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition, "Rebuild Garabagh" — the 6th Azerbaijan International Exhibition "Restoration, Reconstruction, and Development of Karabakh", "Aquatherm Baku" — the 18th International Exhibition for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Water Supply, Plumbing, and Swimming Pools, and "Plastex Caspian" — the 5th Caspian International Exhibition "Plastics and Polymers Industry". Concurrently with Caspian Construction Week, "Road & Traffic" — the 14th Caspian International "Road Infrastructure and Public Transport" Exhibition was also held.
A key highlight of the official opening ceremony of the 31st Caspian Construction Week was a welcome letter from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, addressed to the participants and guests of the Rebuild Garabagh and BakuBuild exhibitions. In this document, the head of state highly praised the BakuBuild and Rebuild Garabagh exhibitions for creating an excellent platform to exchange experience, showcase modern technologies, and establish business partnerships, while also emphasizing the impact of advanced urban planning and engineering solutions applied in the restoration of the liberated territories.
According to the heads of government agencies who spoke at the event, the exhibitions reflect the reality of modern, progressive construction and represent a vital forward-looking event.
More than 270 companies took part in Caspian Construction Week. Among the participants were companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Austria, Belarus, China, Iran, Italy, Uzbekistan, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine. This year, Italy was represented at the exhibition by two national pavilions showcasing the potential and products of Sicily.
Hosting several exhibitions within Caspian Construction Week provided participants with access to a broad professional audience across the fields of construction, architecture, engineering systems, water supply, industrial manufacturing, and infrastructure.
Government structures and leading institutional organizations of the country were also widely represented at Caspian Construction Week with their own stands. Participants included the Economic Zones Development Agency (IZIA), the Karabakh Revival Fund, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, AzerGold CJSC, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Investment and Export Promotion — KOBİTA, and the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ).
BakuBuild showcased construction and manufacturing equipment, interior and architectural solutions, lighting and insulation systems, landscape solutions, and other areas.
Rebuild Garabagh brought together international companies, entrepreneurs, and investors participating in the large-scale restoration and reconstruction process of the territories liberated from occupation. In his address, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the main priorities at this stage are increasing private investment, expanding permanent employment, developing export-oriented production, and turning Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur into a new economic growth hub for the country.
Aquatherm Baku covered the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply, and plumbing.
Plastex Caspian displayed raw materials, production technologies, and turnkey solutions in the plastics and polymers industry.
Within the framework of the exhibition, business meetings and negotiations were held between Russian manufacturers and representatives of the agro-industrial and business communities of Azerbaijan, discussing new opportunities for partnership and supply chains.
Caspian Construction Week attracted attention with a rich business program, which included panel discussions, thematic sessions, presentations, B2B and B2G format meetings, and a 44-hour hackathon aimed at the sustainable and innovative development of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur.
B2B and B2G business meetings allowed companies to establish direct contacts with representatives of government structures and the private sector, discuss cooperation opportunities, and build new partner relationships.
On the final day of Caspian Construction Week, the primary topics of discussion were architectural policy and the protection of cultural heritage under modern construction conditions, a new perspective on urban spaces, and the future of urban planning in Azerbaijan.
During a media survey, participants and guests of the exhibitions particularly highlighted the friendly atmosphere of the exhibitions and the hospitality of the organizers, who demonstrated high professionalism in preparing such a grand event. Many blitz interviews conveyed the sentiment of visitors, who emphasized that it was a pleasure to communicate with colleagues, exchange opinions, and discuss professional issues here. Such events play an important role in developing industry connections and creating business opportunities. Therefore, almost all participants and guests of Caspian Construction Week are looking forward to attending it again next year.
