Today, Azerbaijan is confidently strengthening its position as a country setting modern standards in architecture, urban development and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects. The evolving face of Baku, the extensive transformation taking place across the country, and Azerbaijan’s successful hosting of prestigious international events all demonstrate the country’s strong potential as a hub for professional dialogue, innovation and international cooperation. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has declared 2026 the Year of Urban Planning and Architecture, further highlighting the country’s commitment to sustainable urban development, modern construction technologies and the preservation of its architectural heritage. 

It is in this context that Caspian Construction Week takes on particular importance, bringing together leading professionals from the construction, architecture, engineering and infrastructure sectors. The Week features the 31st Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition – BakuBuild, the 6th Azerbaijan International Exhibition of Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Garabagh – Rebuild Garabagh, the 18th International Exhibition of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Water Supply, Sanitary and Swimming Pools – Aquatherm Baku the 14th Caspian International Road Infrastructure and Public Transport Exhibition – Road & Traffic, as well as the the 5th Caspian International Plastics and Polymers Industry Exhibition – Plastex Caspian. Together, these events create a comprehensive international platform for showcasing advanced technologies, exchanging expertise and developing business cooperation. 

The Rebuild Garabagh exhibition holds a special place within the programme of the Week. The message of greeting addressed by His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the participants of Rebuild Garabagh underlines the importance of the exhibition and reflects the high level of attention given to the event by the country’s leadership. The large-scale projects underway in Garabagh and Eastern Zangazur — including the restoration of settlements, development of modern infrastructure, and implementation of “Smart City” and “Smart Village” concepts — are creating new opportunities for international partnerships, investment and the introduction of innovative solutions. The exhibition provides an effective platform for presenting these achievements and discussing the region’s future development prospects. 

This year, more than 250 companies from 15 countries are taking part in Caspian Construction Week, with local companies accounting for 35% of the participants, reflecting the dynamic development of Azerbaijan’s construction sector. Germany, Italy, Türkiye and Uzbekistan are represented by national pavilions. Throughout the Week, participants will have the opportunity to attend panel discussions and industry presentations, as well as take part in B2B and B2G meetings. 

I am confident that participation in Caspian Construction Week will provide every company with an opportunity to showcase its solutions, establish new partnerships, exchange professional expertise and build strong business relationships.
