On behalf of the organisers, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Caspian Construction Week.
This year, Caspian Construction Week holds special significance. The Azerbaijan International Construction “BakuBuild” exhibition, the flagship event of Azerbaijan’s construction industry, celebrates its 30th anniversary, while the Azerbaijan International Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh Exhibition – “Rebuild Karabakh” – marks its 5th anniversary. Over the years, these exhibitions have established themselves as key platforms for promoting regional cooperation and partnerships. The congratulatory letter from His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the “Rebuild Karabakh” exhibition underscores the special importance of this event and reflects the high level of attention it receives.
Within the framework of Caspian Construction Week, the 17th International Exhibition for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Water Supply, Sanitary and Swimming Pool – “Aquatherm Baku” – and the 13th Caspian International Exhibition on Road Infrastructure and Public Transport – “Road & Traffic” – are also taking place. This year, the Caspian International Plastics and Polymer Industry Exhibition – “Plastex Caspian” – has been added to the program. Together, these exhibitions bring representatives from all sectors of the construction industry under one roof, broadening the thematic scope of the week.
In recent years, Azerbaijan’s construction sector has undergone rapid development. The large-scale projects currently underway in Karabakh reflect the national leadership’s strong commitment to this field. The 5th “Rebuild Karabakh” exhibition contributes to these objectives and serves as an important international platform dedicated to the reconstruction of the region.
Since its inception in 1995, the “BakuBuild” exhibition has grown into the largest and most prestigious international event in the region’s construction sector. Over three decades, it has brought together more than 6,000 companies from over 40 countries and attracted over 200,000 professional visitors. As a central business platform, the exhibition has facilitated contract agreements and supported the growth of local production.
This year, more than 250 companies from 16 countries are participating in Caspian Construction Week, with 35% being local firms, highlighting the dynamic growth of Azerbaijan’s construction industry. Germany, Italy, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan are represented with national pavilions. Throughout the week, panel discussions, sectoral presentations, as well as B2B and B2G meetings will be held.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all government institutions, associations, and sponsors for their continued support of Caspian Construction Week.
I congratulate all participants on these milestones and wish everyone a productive and successful Caspian Construction Week!
Sincerely,
Edward Strachan
