-I live in Singapore and work for a company whose areas of activity include supplying ingredients for the medical industry. What brought me to the Medinex exhibition in Baku was the intention to research the local market, establish contacts with international exhibitors, and learn about innovations in pharmaceutical production. It is also important to analyse the products and services that foreign companies offer to Azerbaijani businesses and consumers.
The exhibition has been very productive for me. I found the proposals of several companies particularly interesting. For example, companies from Oman offer technology that enables a diagnosis to be reviewed remotely based on test results conducted in a local clinic. This is known as a “second medical opinion”. It is a very appealing concept that allows patients to double-check their diagnosis online with a foreign clinic, without having to travel abroad for an examination. If necessary, medical tourism services are offered to arrange treatment for patients overseas. I was also impressed by the Korean company Pine, which presented high-quality surgical sutures.
I believe that the Medinex exhibition is undoubtedly important for the healthcare sector in Azerbaijan. It remains one of the most challenging and, at the same time, one of the most crucial industries, as it affects the entire population of the country. Therefore, it is essential for us to stay informed and adopt the innovations showcased at the exhibition.
